Please join the Center for Teaching and Learning in recognizing the new ACUE cohort members from the University of Texas at Austin faculty. These individuals will complete the requirements to earn a nationally recognized teaching credential co-endorsed by the Association of College and University Educators and the American Council on Education (ACE).

We encourage you to look for one or two opportunities of interest in this full month of CTL programming. This semester's theme is Genuine Intelligence: Demystifying Technology as a Teaching Tool.

The University of Texas System is awarding grants for 30 full- time instructors to participate in the Association of College and University Educators (ACUE) microcredential course, Promoting Active Learning. This eight-week, professionally led, asynchronous course allows you to learn about, implement, and reflect on research-based teaching strategies in your fall semester courses.

The Inclusive Course Design Institute is a two-week intensive institute designed to help new and experienced Assistant Instructors who will be developing their own syllabus for a course for the first time.

The impact of generative AI on higher education has continued to evolve since the release of ChatGPT earlier in the year. This special July newsletter describes a CTL summer series offered to assist the campus community in preparing for fall courses.

The CTL is pleased to offer three working sessions that are intended to help faculty and instructors make informed choices about the relationship of generative AI tools (i.e., ChatGPT) with their courses and interactions with students.
